Welcoming Our Baby To The World…

Well, the news is out!! Mark and I are going to be parents to a beautiful baby girl due this August! The two of us and our entire family couldn’t be more excited than we are to welcome a new member to the family. If there is one thing we know for sure, it’s that this little babyΒ will be endlessly loved and adored.

For about 2 years now, I’ve felt ready to start a family. I reached a place in my life where I felt really happy, fulfilled and secure in my career, beyond content in my love life and stable enough to provide for another human being. After Mark and I got married last October, we both wanted to start trying right away. Soon after we came home from our honeymoon in Paris, on Christmas Day actually, we found out the amazing news… our dream came true. This was truly the best gift I had ever received.

I am now 23 weeks pregnant and I am feeling great, however this wasn’t always the case. The first 4 months of pregnancy were SO hard for me. I was nauseous and vomiting around the clock and could barely keep any food or liquids down. Even the simple act of standing and walking around my house was hard. I would get dizzy in an instant. Now that I am well into my 2nd trimester, I feel energized, up beat and like a new woman again. I really hope feeling this way continues into my 3rd trimester!

Now that we found out we are having a little girl, I can’t stop looking a baby clothes!! I’ve been trying to restrain myself from purchasing too many outfits but boy oh boy, is it hard.

One thing I have needed to do lately is invest in some comfy Keds and Converse flats and some stretchy Aritizia leggings for myself. I haven’t grown that much up to this point however lately, I’ve noticed my stomach begin to ‘pop’, so its time to not squeeze myself into my skinny jeans anymore. I cannot wait to have a full blown baby belly this summer though! I think its going to be a lot of fun to dress the bump.

As for our little girl in there, she is moving around A LOT and having a dance party in my tummy on the regular. There is nothing that makes me happier than feeling her tiny little kicks. I wish it would happen every second of every day. Feeling her presence really does bring the biggest smile to my face. It’s such an amazing miracle.

Here are some baby bump photos so far! I tried to wear the same thing each time (PJ’s of course) so you could notice the growth:

Both sides of the family are going to be showering this little girl with lots of love this July. I decided to register at West Coast Kids & Babies R UsΒ with the help of my good ‘mom’ friend Christine. Nothing better than having someone you trust show you the ropes. πŸ™‚

That’s all for now, I’ll be sure to post more updates as this journey towards becoming parents moves along. <3
